Arthritis

We’re here to offer the pain relief your pet needs.

Sumner Veterinary Hospital is now offering Osteoarthritis pain treatment.

Synovetin OA® is a different approach that offers an easy and long-lasting way to treat your dog’s limp and offer the pain relief he or she needs to become an active, life-loving pet again.

Very easy

Just 1 simple, outpatient treatment

Very safe

Unlike traditional arthritis medicines for dogs, Synovetin OA is non-systemic

Very convenient

No more of the headaches and safety concerns of daily pills or chews

Very long lasting

1 treatment can last up to 1 full year

Sumner Veterinary Hospital is excited to be offering this unique way to treat your dog’s Arthritis.

All that’s required is a sedative, and then our specially trained and licensed veterinarians will treat your dog’s affected joint(s) with a dose of Synovetin OA, Librela, or Silencia.

Dogs can generally go home the same day and return to whatever level of activity they are comfortable with, while Synovetin OA, Librela, or Silencia goes to work to reduce the arthritis inflammation and pain.

This procedure can only be performed by licensed veterinarians at veterinary hospitals permitted to use internal radiation therapy.  On rare occasions, discomfort in the treated elbow has been seen in dogs that can last up to 72 hours after treatment.  Short-term home-care instructions must be followed after treatment to minimize extended close contact such as co-sleeping.
